Tips and Tricks

All mentioned problems are visible except a moving tapes either in a cassettes or in a role. There are some tricks on how to check it manually. This part is an important test in previewing this material.

Tapes that are in Cassettes are easy to check. Just put a regular pencil in a hole and move it in a good direction.

Rolled tapes need to be checked on a specific device, either manually or at the lowest speed.

After the successful test which shows that tapes are movable, it is recommended that rewind and fast-forward because this process packs the tape well.
